Homes for Ukraine - share your views as a host

Closed 7 Jan 2024

Opened 28 Nov 2023

Overview

This survey is for those who are currently hosting, or who have in the past hosted, people from Ukraine who have arrived in East Sussex since the launch of the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.

We are very grateful for ongoing support of hosts within East Sussex.  As a host, your answers in this survey will help us learn the effectiveness of the support options, so that we can identify what has worked well and what could have worked better.

How to take part

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete, and you have the option to use the ‘Save and come back later…’ button at the end of each page if you need more time to finish later.

If you need the survey in an alternative format, such as large print or on coloured paper, or you need it in another language, please contact us. You can also get in touch if you prefer to have the survey printed and posted to you.

Why your views matter

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, a large number of people sought refuge in other countries. As part of its response, the UK Government established the Homes for Ukraine Scheme. Among the key elements of the scheme is provision of accommodation for Ukrainian refugees, by UK hosts in their own properties.

East Sussex County Council is the Lead Authority for delivery of the Homes for Ukraine Scheme in the county. We work to support Ukrainians to successfully settle here, in partnership with local councils, voluntary organisations and providers, and central government agencies.

The latest data, supplied by central Government, shows that nearly 1,700 Ukrainians have arrived in East Sussex since March 2022. They have been matched to over 750 hosts. As the scheme has now been running for over 18 months, we would like to gather hosts' views of various aspects of the support available, both to hosts and to their guests.

If you have any questions about the survey, please get in touch using the contact details provided to the right. You can also have a further discussion with an East Sussex representative about any issues of concern.

Privacy information: This survey is anonymous and we don't ask you to provide any personal information. Please ensure that any comments you provide don't include any names or personal details of you or anyone else.
