Support With Confidence & Infection Prevention and Control Project: Provider Engagement Group Application Form
Overview
Are you passionate about making services the best they can be? Then Support with Confidence needs your help. We're looking for six providers who are accredited members of the scheme to join our quarterly engagement group.
Read on to find out more and apply.
Background
The Support With Confidence Scheme (SWC) is East Sussex County Council’s locally-owned accreditation scheme which approves local care and support providers. Many are personal assistants (PAs) and micro-businesses currently operating in the unregulated sector of the social care market. The overall purpose of the accreditation scheme is to enhance the quality and experience of people’s care.
The SWC scheme works closely with the Community-based Social Care Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Project. The IPC project provides infection control information, training and support to unregulated community-based social care providers. Its overall purpose is to enhance the knowledge of infection prevention of control practices amongst unregulated community-based providers, carers, and volunteers. The aim is to minimise the risk of transmission within the community.
SWC and the IPC project would like to engage and consult with providers about key policy, practice, and decisions. This would provide a valuable perspective to inform decisions on the content of surveys, event planning, and also training and development.
Who can apply?
We are looking for up to 6 people to join this Provider Engagement Group. We are looking for providers who are accredited members of the SWC scheme and who are able to commit up to 3 hours of their time for meetings four times a year. You can find more information in the role description on the next page.
Why take part?
By joining, you’ll be making a difference to a joint Adult Social Care and Public Health Project that supports social care providers to provide safe support to hundreds of people living in the community. So, if you’re passionate about making services the best they can be, we want to hear from you!
How do I apply?
Please read the role description before you complete the application form. It tells you what we are looking for from applicants, and how we will select them.
If you need the form in another language or format, or you have any other questions, please get in touch with Lyndsey Potts using the details to the right.
The closing date for applications is 31 October 2022.
How will the information in my application be used?
The information you provide will be reviewed to help us decide whether you should be shortlisted for membership of the group. We will manage your data under our People Bank privacy notice for volunteers.
We would like the group to represent the broad range of accredited services. Therefore selection of group members will be based on achieving this. If you are not selected to be part of this group, your feedback is still valued and can be shared with the scheme via the yearly survey, as well as other opportunities shared with you throughout the year.
