Holiday Activities and Food Programme 2021 - Schools Survey
Overview
Holiday Activities and Food Programme 2021 - Schools Survey
The government recently announced that the holiday activities and food programme, which has provided healthy food and enriching activities to disadvantaged children since 2018, will be expanded across the whole of England in 2021, including East Sussex. The programme will cover the Easter, summer, and Christmas holidays in 2021 and the provision is for children who receive benefits-related free school meals. Local authorities are being asked to coordinate the offer of free holiday club provision for children eligible for free school meals and support schools to develop an offer that takes into account the particular challenges presented by the pandemic.
In order to support schools effectively, we need to have a clear understanding of what schools already have in place or are planning to offer. Therefore, we would be very grateful if all schools could take the time to respond to our survey. We are looking to have programmes up and running for the Easter holidays, so are asking schools to respond by Tuesday the 16th of February.
