B2169 Bayham Road Bells Yew Green 40mph Speed Limit - Formal Consultation

Overview

It is proposed to reduce the current speed limit of 50mph on the B2169 Bayham Road, Bells Yew Green in part to 40mph. This section of the B2169 was identified as a priority in the first year of the Speed Management Programme.

Initial consultations have been carried out. Based on the feedback received, we are now formally advertising changes to the speed limit.

Why your views matter

We want to hear your views on the proposal and whether you support the reduced speed limit. 

The proposed change to the speed limit is shown on the plan in the 'related documents' section at the bottom of this page.

Any comments will need to be emailed to tros@eastsussex.gov.uk by the closing date of 2nd June 2025. 

What happens next

After the closing date of the 2nd June 2025 we will process all responses.

If there are objections we will try to resolve them, if they can't be resolved we will need to present a report to the County Council Planning Commitee.
