The Lead Member for Education and Inclusion, Special Educational Needs and Disability considered a report on 28 February 2017 by the Director of Children’s Services which sought approval for the admission arrangements for the 2018/19 school year.
Overview
This consultation outlines the proposed admissions arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools from September 2018. It also sets out the proposed schemes for co-ordination for the normal years of entry.
You will also find the proposed admission criteria for Priory School, Lewes and Hailsham Community College which mirror the local authority's proposal.
We are proposing a minor change to the definition of 'looked after children' in the admissions criteria. We are also proposing to change the area for Eastbourne primary schools. We would particularly welcome your views on these aspects of our proposals although all comments are welcomed on any aspect of the arrangements.
