Hailsham Parking Review (Gleneagles Drive Area) - Formal Consultation
Overview
A number of safety concerns relating to parking have been raised along Gleneagles Drive, with the main concerns relating to the lower section of Gleneagles Drive around the build-outs and including side roads. Safety concerns relating to parking have also been raised about the area of Gleneagles Drive close to Grovelands Community Primary School, located in Dunbar Drive.
We have carried out a number of investigations and initial consultations have been conducted. Based on the feedback received, we are now formally advertising changes to parking controls.
Why your views matter
The proposals follow requests for changes to existing parking controls or where it is deemed that new controls will be of benefit in terms of road safety. There are areas where safety or access issues have been identified and it is felt necessary to introduce restrictions such as yellow lines.
We want to hear your views on the proposals and whether you support the changes or if you believe the proposals should not be installed.
The proposals for this review are shown in the drawings in the 'Related documents' section at the bottom of this page.
Please take the time to look at the drawings carefully and provide any feedback you may have.
What happens next
After the closing date of 5 June 2018 we will process all responses.
Any objections received will be carefully considered. If we cannot resolve the objections then we will include them in a report to be presented to Planning Committee.
Anyone who makes a representation may speak at the Planning Committee meeting. We will write to you closer to the time to advise of the meeting date and time. The Committee will consider all objections and will then decide whether to abandon or modify the proposals, or to install them as proposed.
Thank you for your interest in this consultation and for taking the time to look at the proposals.
