Draft East Sussex Local Flood Risk Management Strategy 2027-2037
Separating strategy from process and advice
To ensure the East Sussex Local Flood Risk Management Strategy 2027 - 2037 is as clear and concise as possible we have separated it from any guidance or details of processes we, as the Lead Local Flood Authority, undertake.
All guidance and details of processes will, following publication of the East Sussex Local Flood Risk Management Strategy 2027 - 2037, be available on the East Sussex County Council website.
This approach, which has been informed by early consultation with current users of the strategy, is designed to allow better accessibility to information and the ability to update guidance and processes in line with new information, policies and national guidance.
The main elements impacted by this change are:
- The Section 19 flood investigation process.
- Advice regarding planning policies for flood risk and drainage.
- Advice and information for owners of watercourses (riparian responsibilities).
