Queensway Gateway Road Public Footpath Hastings 130 (Part) Cycle Track Order

Closes 28 Aug 2025

Opened 1 Aug 2025

Overview

This consultation opens on 1 August 2025 and closes on 28 August 2025.

It is proposed for part of Public Footpath Hastings 130 to be designated a cycle track over which the public would have a right of way on pedal cycles (other than pedal cycles which are motor vehicles) and a right of way on foot.

The proposed order will support the delivery of upgrades to existing pedestrian routes to create a shared use footway/cycleway connecting A21 Sedlescombe Road North to Whitworth Road, in line with planning application reference HS/3503/CC approved in March 2025.  The shared footway/cycleway will enable access by pedal cycle and provide an enhanced environment for pedestrians in this location, facilitating the safe and convenient passage of active travel modes.

Initial consultations have been carried out. Based on the feedback received, we are now formally advertising these changes.

All comments must be received by the closing date.
