Rother Parking Review 3 - formal consultation

Overview

We want to hear from people who use our roads, about parking in Rother District.

After listening to your feedback in our informal consultation, we are now formally proposing changes to parking controls and would like your views.

For us to consider your support or objection to the formal proposals, you must provide feedback, even if you previously responded to the informal consultation.

The consultation period runs from 31 October 2025 to 21 November 2025. All feedback must to be received by 21 November 2025.

Why your views matter

In July and August 2025 we carried out informal consultation about proposed changes to parking controls in Rother District. We have considered all the feedback and have drawn up final proposals.

The proposals follow requests for new or changes to existing parking controls to be introduced. There are also areas where safety or access issues have been identified and it is felt necessary to introduce controls such as yellow lines.

All feedback received, either in support of or objecting to the proposals will be carefully considered. If there are any unresolved objections, we will include them in a report to be presented to Planning Committee.

Taking part

The survey takes up to 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You can use the ‘Save and come back later…’ button at the end of each page if you don’t want to complete the survey all in one go. What Happens Next

After the closing date of 21 November 2025 we will process all responses.

Anyone who makes a representation may speak at the Planning Committee meeting. We will write to you closer to the time to advise of the meeting date and time. The Committee will consider all objections and will then decide whether to abandon or modify the proposals, or to install them as proposed.

After the meeting we contact everyone who provided views to let them know of the committee’s decision.
