Overview
As part of our Village review of speed limits we are proposing to lower the speed limits in Wivelsfield. To help drivers slow down we are proposing to make some changes to the character and appearance of the roads that will be affected. We'd like to hear your views about these proposals.
Why your views matter
Nationally the government would like us to have a speed limit of 30mph in all of our villages. Where it's appropriate we are looking at how these changes might be made. We have been working with the Parish Council to identify the the changes that would be appropriate for Wivelsfield. This includes things like markings on the road, different coloured road surfaces and widening pavements. We are also proposing to install white gateways and wooden planters that would be maintained by the Parish Council.
How to have your say
The plans of the proposals are available to view at Public Engagement Events at the Renshaw Room, Wivelsfield Village Hall on:
- Thursday 26 September between 2pm and 8pm
- Friday 27 September between 2pm and 8pm
- Saturday 28 September between 10am and 1pm
If you are unable to attend the public engagement event the copies of the plans are available from the Parish Council or you can view them below after 26 September. You can also take part in the online survey by clicking on the link below.
You have until Sunday 20 October to give us your views.
What happens next
Your comments will be reviewed and taken into account before the final decision about the proposed changes is made.
