Mental health and money practitioner survey

Closed 6 Dec 2021

Opened 22 Nov 2021

Overview

Are your clients’ financial problems having a significant impact on their mental health, or on your ability to work effectively with them?

Recently, two major government protections have come to an end (the £20 increase to Universal Credit and the Furlough scheme) and energy prices and the cost of living are increasing. People living with MH conditions will be disproportionately impacted by these changes.

Specialist local and national specialist support services are available to assist people with money, benefits and debt problems.

The purpose of this survey is to gather insight from across local community mental health services on this issue. Your response may help identify unmet needs, gaps in pathways or staff knowledge and training, or best practice we could share with partners. Findings will also inform a future Mental Health Action Group session on mental health and money.
