PPE grant application - Personal Assistants and Support With Confidence members

Closed 31 Mar 2022

Opened 20 Jul 2021

Overview

The government has extended the offer of free Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to care and support providers until the end of March 2023 or until such time as the UK infection prevention and control guidance is withdrawn or significantly amended, whichever is sooner. From April 2022, unregulated care providers will be able to access PPE via a national PPE Portal, the details of which are currently being finalised.

During the interim period, from 1 March to 31 March, the grants available for PA’s to purchase PPE are changing:

Self-employed PAs can apply for a payment of £50 which will be provided for each PA application received. The grant will be paid by BACS.

PA businesses can apply for a payment of £50 multiplied by the number of personal assistants delivering the accredited services. The grant will be paid by BACS.

Only PAs and PA businesses can apply for grants during this time.
