PPE grant application - Personal Assistants and Support With Confidence members

Closes 28 Feb 2022

Opened 20 Jul 2021

Overview

The government has extended the offer of free Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to care and support providers until the end of March 2022.

Therefore East Sussex County Council will be continuing to provide PPE grants for self-employed Personal Assistants (PAs) and other non-CQC Support With Confidence registered businesses, subject to adherence to the grant conditions.

These grants will be available to meet the ongoing costs of PPE from 1st July 2021 until 31st March 2022.

  • Each PA can request a payment of £300 which will be paid by BACS.
  • Each PA business can request a payment of £300 multiplied by the number of personal assistants delivering their accredited services and this will be paid by BACS.
  • Each sole trader can request a payment of £120 which will be paid by BACS.
  • Other Support With Confidence accredited businesses that haven’t received any other form of Infection Control Fund monies since April 2021 can request a payment of £120 multiplied by the number of workers they have delivering the accredited service and this will be paid by BACS.

You are entitled to make more than one application for PPE grants until 28 Feb 2022. If additional applications are received, we will require evidence of how the previous payments have been spent.
