As part of the development at 4-5 Stockleigh Road, St Leonards there is a need to consult on a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to install a Car Club Parking Bay. This proposal would help support the development and local residents by providing an alternative to owing a vehicle and help reduce demand for on street parking.
The devlopment was granted planning permission by Hastings Borough Council under reference: HS/19/00818

A new car park on the north side of B2116 Keymer Road is under construction. A new road junction to provide access to the car park is to be created just west of the existing 30mph speed limit. As part of the car park access highway works the 30mph speed limit will be extended westwards by approximately 80m. The County Council intend to open the new Port Access Road now named ‘McKinlay Way’.
McKinlay Way will eventually provide direct access to new housing, business and retail development. In order that the speed limit on the new southern section of McKinlay Way is consistent with the northern section of McKinlay Way, it is proposed to extend the 30mph speed limit along the new road for its entire length, and also extend the 'No Waiting at Any Time'.
