Amberstone, Hailsham - Proposed 30mph Speed Limit
Overview
The consultation opens on 3rd March 2023 and close on 24th March 2023
As part of the development of land at Hellingly Green to provide access for approximately 88 new dwellings along with a new retail area and employment land, the developer was required to carry out certain highway works.
These include the provision of a new access onto Amberstone (A271) and an extension to the existing 30mph speed limit.
The works have been completed and this Traffic Regualtion Order will have the effect of aligning the speed limit Order with the on-street layout.
All comments need to be received by the closing date.
As no objections were recieved to the proposal the order has now been made comes into operation on the 1st May 2023.
Why your views matter
The changes are being proposed for the ongoing development of land at Hellingly Green and are required as part of planning permission granted on this site.

What happens next
After the closing date of 24th March 2023 we will process all responses.
If there are objections we will try to resolve them, if they can't be resolved we will need to present a report to the planning commitee.
As no objections were recieved to the propsoal the order has now been made and comes into operation on the 1st May 2023.
