Mill Road, Hailsham - Extension of 30mph Speed Limit
Overview
As part of the development of the site 'Land at Mill Road, Hailsham' under planning ref: WD/16/0658. An extension to the existing 30mph speed limit has been proposed from a point 158 metres south eastwards of its junction with Observatory View, south eastwards for a distance of 161 metres. The reason for the proposed extension is to facilitate the safe passage of all road users.
The consultation opens on 17 June 2022 and close on 8 July 2022
All comments need to be received by the closing date
No comments were received during the consultation so the changes to the speed limit extent have now been made and the order has been made and sealed.
Why your views matter
The changes are being proposed for the ongoing development of the Land at Mill Road, Hailsham and are required as part of the planning permission granted to the site.

Any comments will need to be emailed to tros@eastsussex.gov.uk by the closing date.
What happens next
After the closing date of 8th July 2022 we will process all responses.
If there are objections we will try to resolve them, if they can't be resolved we will need to present a report to the planning commitee.
As no comments were received to the formal consualtation the matter did not need to be refered to the Planning Committee. The changes to the speed limit have now been made and the order has been made and sealed.
