Hastings parking review 3 - Informal consultation

Overview

We want to hear from people who use our roads, about parking in Hastings.

We review our parking schemes to make sure they meet the changing needs of local communities. In each review we consider requests for new controls and requests for changes to existing controls.

At this stage of the review, we are looking for your views on these proposals.

The consultation period runs from 14 November 2025 to 5 December 2025. All feedback need to be received by 5 December 2025.

Why your views matter

The proposals follow requests for new or changes to existing parking controls to be introduced. There are also areas where safety or access issues have been identified and it is felt necessary to introduce controls such as yellow lines.

Your feedback at this informal stage will help us decide if the proposals should be changed before formal proposals are advertised.

If alternative controls are suggested, these may be included in the final proposals.

Taking part

The survey takes up to 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You can use the ‘Save and come back later…’ button at the end of each page if you don’t want to complete the survey all in one go. If you need support to take part or need the survey printed and posted to you, in large print or on coloured paper, or in another format please get in touch using the contact details provided.

Next steps

Once the informal consultation has closed the feedback is reviewed. Most often there are conflicting responses, and we need to find a balance to differing needs. The proposals may be changed following consideration of the feedback.

When the final proposals are ready, they are advertised and must go through another round of consultation, called formal consulation.
