Local Transport Plan 4 (2024-2050)
Overview
We want you to have your say on the future of transport in the County.
The draft East Sussex Local Transport Plan 2024 – 2050, sets out how we will plan and provide transport for residents, businesses and visitors in East Sussex now and for future generations, to help connect them with the places they need to go on a daily basis.
It sets out how we plan to:
- enable safer and more accessible journeys
- develop healthy places to enable people to live well
- decarbonise transport to help us to achieve net zero targets by 2050 at the latest
- maintain and strengthen our transport networks so that they are resilient
- support a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable economy within our coastal towns, market towns and villages in more rural areas
The plan is set out in two documents:
- The LTP Strategy – which communicates the transport priorities for the County, including objectives, policies, and plans for transport improvements, and an
- Implementation Plan - outlining the types of schemes we will deliver with our partners.
For information on LTP4 please visit the LTP4 webpage.
Why your views matter
Please answer the survey questions that matter to you as we want you to have your say on shaping the future of transport in the County.
The more responses we receive from people (whether you are a resident, business or visitor to the county) the better it will help us to understand whether we have set out the right priorities, policies and measures for transport now and in the future.
Importantly your views will be considered as part of a review and update to the plan once the consultation closes.
Upcoming events are listed below. Please check back closer to / on the day to confirm the event is going ahead and the times an officer will be available.
