Understanding how well 0 to 5 year old and their families are supported in East Sussex

Overview

East Sussex wants to improve support for families and 0 to 5 year olds. We are doing this by carrying out a 0-5 Year Old Health Needs Assessment.

This means we want to find out everything we can about the health and wellbeing needs of children aged 0 to 5 years locally, and how well families are supported. We are inviting parents and carers of children aged 0 to 5 in East Sussex to share their experience of getting support in their local area.

This includes:

  • Whether their support needs are being successfully met
  • Whether there are gaps in the support
  • How support could be improved

Your views and experiences can help make sure we improve services and better support 0 to 5 year old children in the county.

How to take part

There two ways to get involved:

Interview: Have an informal conversation with our researcher Hannah. You will talk about your experiences of looking after a child aged between 0 to 5 and the support available to you.

Play Workshop: Bring your 0-5 year old child along to a stay and play workshop, where you can share your thoughts and ideas in open conversations with other parents or carers.

You will be offered a £20 voucher for attending either the interview, or the stay and play workshop.
