Sea Road, Bexhill Zebra crossing changes

Closed 22 Nov 2024

Opened 1 Nov 2024

Overview

This consultation opens on 1 November 2024 and closes on 22 November 2024.

It is proposed to reposition the zebra crossing further south so that it lies halfway between Endwell Road and Jameson Road. This re-location will allow motorists to carry out a full turn before stopping (if required) at the crossing and therefore increasing safety. The crossing is currently used by pupils as they walk to and from school.

Initial consultations have been carried out. Based on the feedback received, we are now formally advertising changes to the crossing. Further information can be found here

All comments must be received by the closing date.

Why your views matter

We want to hear your views on the proposals. All feedback will be considered.

Any comments will need to be emailed to tros@eastsussex.gov.uk by the closing date.

The proposed changes to the crossing are shown on the plans in the ‘related documents’ section at the bottom of this page.

If you use assistive technology (such as a screen reader) and need a version of these documents in a different format, or you have problems accessing the documents generally, please email (at the address above) to let us know.

What happens next

After the closing date of 22 November we will process all responses.

If there are objections, we will try to resolve them, if they can't be resolved we will need to present a report to the planning committee for a final decision.

Thank you for your interest in this consultation and for taking the time to look at the proposal.
