Introduction of Further Parking Restrictions in Crowborough

Closed 31 Aug 2018

Opened 3 Aug 2018

Overview

The Traffic and Safety team has received numerous requests for parking restrictions in the Crowborough area. We have packaged these together and along with Sussex Police and the Town Council, we have decided to progress consultations to introduce a number of new parking restrictions.

We have carried out a number of investigations at these sites and initial consultations have been conducted. Based on the feedback received, we are now formally advertising changes to parking controls.

Plans and definitions of the proposals are shown within the links below.

Why your views matter

The proposals follow requests for changes to existing parking controls or where it is deemed that new controls will be of benefit in terms of road safety. There are areas where safety or access issues have been identified and it is felt necessary to introduce restrictions such as double yellow lines.

What happens next

After the closing date of 31st August 2018 we will process all responses.

Any objections received will be carefully considered. If we cannot resolve the objections then we will include them in a report to be presented to Planning Committee.

Anyone who makes a representation may speak at the Planning Committee meeting. We will write to you closer to the time to advise of the meeting date and time. The Committee will consider all objections and will then decide whether to abandon or modify the proposals, or to install them as proposed.

Thank you for your interest in this consultation and for taking the time to look at the proposals.
