Rother Parking Review 2 - formal consultation

Closed 17 Jun 2024

Opened 17 May 2024

We receive many requests for new or changes to existing parking, waiting and stopping restrictions in Rother District. To manage these and make effective use of our budgets we have a priority ranking system. All requests are considered and locations given the highest priority are progressed as part of our regular reviews.

We have previously carried out informal consultations and based on the feedback received, we are now formally advertising changes to parking controls.

The consultation period runs from 17 May to 17 June 2024. All comments need to be received by 17 June.

Why your views matter

We want to hear your views on the proposals as all responses have to be taken into consideration.

Please take the time to look at the proposals carefully and tell us your views, a representation can be made by completing the survey below.

The proposals for this review are shown in the plans in the 'Related documents' section at the bottom of this page.

If you use assistive technology (such as a screen reader) and need a version of these documents in a different format, or you have problems accessing the documents generally, please email and let us know what you need.

If you do or do not agree with the proposals you can make a representation. For your representation to be fully considered you must make it in writing and you will need to:

  • tell us which drawing you are objecting to or supporting,
  • explain the reasons,
  • ensure it is received before the end of the day on 17 June 2024.

What Happens Next

After the closing date of 17 June 2024 we will process all responses.

All representations received, either in support of or objecting to the proposals will be carefully considered. If there are any unresolved objections, we will include them in a report to be presented to Planning Committee.

Anyone who makes a representation may speak at the Planning Committee meeting. We will write to you closer to the time to advise of the meeting date and time. The Committee will consider all objections and will then decide whether to abandon or modify the proposals, or to install them as proposed.

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please contact us by email to or telephone 01323 466244.

Thank you for your interest in this consultation and for taking the time to look at the proposals.
