East Sussex Highways are proposing to put in place a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing on The Ridge, just to the south of the junction with Chowns Hill to aid safe pedestrian movement. Under Section 64 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRWSA) a Highway Authority may designate certain streets (or parts of streets) as Traffic Sensitive.
